Mexico Plan B…

Image
Third Time’s the Charm!   Sorry Base Camp, you’re gonna need to sit this one out… After drowning our sorrows in guacamole at a Mexican takeout joint on the US/Texas side of the border, we hatched Plan B. Leaving our beloved, overweight-by-Mexican-standards Base Camp in Big Bend National Park, we would ford the Rio Grande, and make our way on foot, or by burro to the small village of Boquillas.

Staying in place and COVID Safe

Image
With the Bahamas going into lockdown, we had to make a quick choice— evacuate, or stay put. We chose the latter, podding (combining households) with 2 of our close friends, Gloria from Venezuela, and Claude from Haiti. They were unable to leave the Bahamas due to COVID related travel restrictions. Our days were filled with farm chores, schooling, aquaponics duties, and shark sucker tank maintenance. Nights were dedicated to land crabbing!

At Home in Water World, Eleuthera

The Island School, Eleuthera, Bahamas 🇧🇸  Yes, we’ve swallowed the anchor, so to speak, albeit temporarily. Tiny Bubbles II is on the hard in Virginia and we have settled smoothly into gainful employment here at The Island School. We discovered this island paradise on our sail through The Bahamas in 2018. It’s a match made in heaven for this crew! Welcome to Water World!
